Tarot Sessions comes to The Carlyle on Friday, October 30, for a 75-minute immersive night that pairs four tarot readings with four themed cocktails. The mood of each drink follows the card being read, and the whole thing unfolds in four parts. Random audience participation shapes the room as it goes, and physical tarot cards at the tables keep you close to every turn.
The 78-card deck is framed as modern storytelling rather than fortune-telling. The 22 Major Arcana trace archetypal themes through the Hero's Journey, while the 56 Minor Arcana ground it in daily life: Cups for emotions, Wands for action, Swords for conflict, and Pentacles for work and money. You don't need any prior tarot knowledge to follow along.
Non-alcoholic versions of all four cocktails are available, and the setting is described as intimate, social, and just dramatic enough. It's an adults-only experience.
