Pre-game game day experience for Dawgs and Gators fans with a photo bus, games, a DJ and a custom cap bar at Centennial Yards.
Rise ATL is taking over the Centennial Yards Entertainment District on Saturday, October 31, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, a pre-game party for fans of the Dawgs and the Gators. It's set up as a place to connect with other football fans and kick off game day in downtown Atlanta before the Georgia-Florida game. The afternoon runs with a photo booth, games, a DJ, and a custom hat station.
Centennial Yards is presenting the whole thing, and the venue itself is worth a look if you haven't spent much time there. It's an eight-acre entertainment district built on a 50-acre redevelopment of the Gulch, the stretch of rail yards that sits below downtown Atlanta's 1920s viaducts. The district leans into those railroad roots: four major rail lines met here, and the Circle Wye junction, completed by the Macon & Western Railroad in 1846, still sits on the property. That junction is what inspired the 'A' in the Centennial Yards logo.
The district is a mix of residences, retail, entertainment, and public spaces. The 304-home residential tower, The Mitchell, is open, as is the 19-story, 292-room Hotel Phoenix. Across the street are State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and inside the district, Cosm, The Irish Exit, Shake Shack, and Wild Leap Atlanta are listed as open. Rise ATL sits right in the middle of it all.
