21+ rock and punk night at 529 with SKANK, DESTROY 3, Mega Infinity, The Doomstompers, Pink Slip and more.
SKANK & DESTROY 3 takes over 529 in East Atlanta Village on Thursday, October 22, starting at 8 PM. It's a punk and rock night with a full bill: Mega Infinity, The Doomstompers, Pink Slip, Great Wide Nothing, and Close Enough. The night is 21+, so keep that in mind before you head out.
Great Wide Nothing closes the evening. They're an Atlanta progressive and art rock band that started as the solo project of bassist, vocalist, and primary songwriter Daniel Graham. In early 2017, he added drummer Jeff Matthews and keyboardist Dylan Porper—both graduates of the Atlanta Institute of Music & Media—and the group began recording and performing as Great Wide in the summer of 2018. Their debut album, The View From Olympus, came out independently on April 5, 2019, and picked up international airplay in the US, the UK, Canada, and Mexico. They describe their sound as a contemporary, alternative-infused take on classic prog, paying homage to 70s icons like Rush, Yes, ELP, Genesis, and King Crimson.

With Great Wide Nothing closing, the rest of the lineup—Mega Infinity, The Doomstompers, Pink Slip, and Close Enough—fills out the earlier part of the night. It's a long bill, so if you want to catch everyone, you'll want to be there early. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and the whole thing kicks off at 8 PM.
