Producing and Development Series: Full Series

Actor's Express Theatre Company is launching its Producing and Development Series on Tuesday, October 20, a multi-month intensive designed to take a one-person show from a rough idea to a public performance. It's built for actors, writers, and solo performers who have a story they're ready to tell and want to walk away with a finished piece for their portfolio.

Over the course of the program, you'll write, workshop, and rehearse an original solo stage piece under the mentorship of working Actor's Express artists. The process is broken into four distinct parts: Part 1 runs October 20, 27 and November 3, 10; Part 2 follows on November 17, 24 and December 1, 8; Part 3 picks back up in the new year on January 5, 12, 19, and 26; and Part 4 is the performance week of February 1, 2027. The whole thing culminates in a public performance of the work you've spent months developing.

It's a long-haul commitment, so it helps to know exactly what the schedule looks like. Each week consists of a two-hour in-person session on Tuesday evenings, plus a one-hour Zoom check-in. The in-person sessions are where the actual workshopping and rehearsing happen, and the Zoom calls keep things moving between them. The sessions run from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, and the whole series takes place at Actor's Express Theatre Company, 887 West Marietta St NW Suite J-107, in Atlanta.

The cost for the full series is $927.00. It kicks off Tuesday, October 20, with the weekly Tuesday sessions running through the performance week of February 1, 2027.
