Free Persian art and culture festival with a Cyrus the Great statue unveiling, artisan vendors, Persian food, live classical Persian music, workshops and a DJ set.
Iran Unveiled Festival comes to Pardis Park on Saturday, October 24, from 11 AM to 4 PM. It's a free Persian art and culture festival open to the public, all ages welcome, with no tickets or reservations required. The day is hosted by Nimruz, an Iranian diaspora art and education non-profit that describes itself as the leading funder of Iranian diaspora artists, alongside the Persian Cultural Center of Atlanta and the National Monuments Foundation.
The centerpiece is the unveiling of a permanent bronze statue of Cyrus the Great, founder of Ancient Persia, sculpted by Stan Mullins for Pardis Park—the green space Nimruz helped create. The unveiling ceremony happens around 12:30 PM, with remarks from Rodney Cook, president of the National Monuments Foundation; Rostam Zafari, co-founder and board chair of Nimruz; and actor Arian Moayed, known for Succession and co-founder of Waterwell. The organizers emphasize that the festival is intentionally non-political, aimed at celebrating Persian identity in all its diversity.
Beyond the ceremony, there's plenty to do throughout the day. You'll find Persian and Persian-inspired food, artisan vendors, and live classical Persian music, with a DJ set taking over from 2 to 4 PM. There are interactive workshops, traditional Iranian games, and hands-on arts and crafts for all ages. You can also walk through Iranian Art Through Time, an exhibition that spans multiple eras of Persian art.
