Free kids' Halloween parade and party held at the pavilion in Grant Park.
Grant Park is hosting a kids Halloween parade and party on Sunday, October 25, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The whole thing takes place at the pavilion, so it's all in one spot rather than spread across the park. The main draw is the kids Halloween parade, which is exactly what it sounds like: a chance for the neighborhood children to march through in their costumes. After the parade, the party continues at the pavilion, so you can stick around for both.
It's a late-afternoon thing, which works well if you've got little ones who need to be in bed by a reasonable hour. The two-hour window gives plenty of time for the parade to run and for the party to follow without stretching too far into the evening. Since it's all centered at the pavilion, you don't have to worry about trekking across the park with kids in costume—you can set up camp in one area and stay put.

If you're planning to go, the pavilion is the place to be. It's a well-known spot in the park, and having the parade and the party happen right there makes it easy to keep track of everyone. It's a free event, so there's no ticket to buy or reservation to make—just show up with the kids in their costumes and you're set. The parade and party run from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM on Sunday, October 25, at the pavilion in Grant Park.
