45th Annual Georgia Veterans Day Parade along Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta, honoring Global War on Terror veterans and the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
The Georgia Veterans Day Parade returns to Midtown Atlanta on Saturday, November 7, 2026, running from 11 AM to 1 PM. This year marks the 45th annual parade, a tradition the Georgia Veterans Day Association has kept going in Midtown for more than four decades. Each year they focus on a different group of service members, and the 2026 theme is Honoring Global War on Terror Veterans and the 25th Anniversary of 9/11.
The route takes place along Peachtree Street, from 15th Street down to 5th Street. It's a wide stretch of the city's most iconic, tree-lined road, and the lineup reflects the scale of it. You'll see military and community leaders, foreign dignitaries, and veteran service organizations alongside JROTC and ROTC units from across Georgia, as well as active-duty, National Guard, and Reserve units. Civic and corporate sponsors also join in, so it's a mix of uniformed service and local community.
There's more to the day than just the parade. An annual Observance Ceremony takes place in the lobby of the Memorial Arts Building at the Woodruff Arts Center, and if you want to see the marchers up close, the parade judging point is at the corner of Peachtree and 11th Street. Between the ceremony and the route, there's plenty of the day to catch.
