Free exhibition by Lindsay Burke titled 'Quick Split' at the Emory Visual Arts Gallery in Atlanta.
Emory Visual Arts Gallery is hosting two exhibitions this fall, and you can catch them both at the same time. The first is Lindsay Burke: Quick Split, a solo show by the Atlanta artist. The second is En Route: Views from Atlanta and Marseille, a group exhibition that brings together work from both cities.
If you're only going to see one, Quick Split is the one to start with. It's a solo exhibition, so you get a focused look at Burke's work without other artists in the mix. En Route is a different kind of experience—a group show that pairs views of Atlanta with views of Marseille, so you'll see how different artists interpret the two cities side by side. Between the two, you get both a deep dive into one artist and a broader look at how two cities are captured on canvas.
Both are running at the same time, so you can walk through one and then the other in a single visit. It's a good way to see two very different kinds of shows without having to make two separate trips.
