A new musical about the Scottish tradition of the ceilidh, directed and choreographed by Sam Pinkleton and created by the duo Noisemaker.
Ceilidh the Musical comes to the Music Hall on Union Street from Tuesday 19 to Saturday 23 January 2027. It's a brand new musical that puts a ceilidh right at the centre of the stage β a gathering of songs, stories and dances, shared with a dram or two and led by a lively caller. Around that, it's a family story about love and legacy, and why this particular ceilidh matters more than most.
Behind it are the award-winning duo Scott Gilmour and Claire McKenzie, working as Noisemaker, with direction and choreography from Tony Award-winner Sam Pinkleton, who also did Oh, Mary!. The show is fresh from a sell-out season in Baltimore, and they describe it as a joyous, irreverent, heart-pounding night.
