York Tulip Fields

Farmer Copleys are bringing their tulip festival to York in April 2027, with the York Tulip Fields site opening on 3 April. It's the second location for the festival, which also runs at Farmer Copleys Tulip Festival in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The two sites mean the show is returning on a larger scale than before.

The main draw is the tulips: hundreds of thousands of bulbs planted across the grounds, with more than 40 varieties on display. There's a real working windmill on site, which they say lets you feel like you're in Holland, and roaming musicians moving through the fields. To eat and drink, there's Dutch-themed food and drink, and the whole thing is set against countryside views.

It's not a new venture for them. The festival won Rural & Farm Event of the Year 2025, and the 2027 return sees it running across two sites instead of one. The York site opens on 3 April, and the location is yet to be announced.
