Progressive rock band Yes performs their 1971 album 'Fragile' in its entirety, accompanied by a gallery of works by artist Roger Dean.
Yes play the York Barbican on Saturday 15 May 2027, as part of The Fragile Tour. The whole night is built around Fragile, the band's 1971 album, which they'll play from start to finish. It was their fourth record, it hit the Top 10 in the UK that year and went Platinum; 'Roundabout' made the US Top 20 and the album itself reached the Top 5 there, where it went double Platinum. You'll hear that one alongside 'Heart of the Sunrise' and 'South Side of the Sky'.

They aren't stopping at the one album, though. The set pulls in songs from their 1970s records and from Aurora, their new album, which comes out on 12 June. There's also a gallery of work by Roger Dean on display at the show. Dean's paintings have appeared on many of their covers, and Fragile was the first one to feature his art. Steve Howe describes that period as a turning point: 'After The Yes Album, everything seemed to align... Fragile became a bold statement of creativity'.
This is a rescheduled date. The original nine-date tour was put on hold because guitarist Steve Howe needed urgent surgery, and the UK leg has now been set for spring 2027. York is one of ten stops: Sheffield on 2 May, Manchester on 3, Birmingham on 6, Bristol on 7, London on 10 and 11, Glasgow on 13, York on 15, and Liverpool on 16. If you'd already bought tickets, they're still valid for the new dates.
Doors open at 19:00 at the York Barbican (YO10 4NT), and it's a ticketed event with a booking fee. There are also hospitality options available. If you're bringing anyone under 14, they'll need to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
