Formal academic events celebrating the completion of degrees for University of York students, held across multiple sessions from July 16 to July 21.
The University of York is holding its graduation ceremonies from Thursday 16 July to Tuesday 21 July 2026, with the ceremonies taking place in Central Hall at the Heslington campus, YO10 5DD. It's the formal academic celebration for students completing their degrees, and it runs across multiple sessions every day throughout the period.
Each graduating student gets an invitation via e:vision and is guaranteed two tickets for their ceremony. If you need more, additional free tickets are available on the day at the Graduation Information Desk outside Central Hall on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of two extra per graduate. The ceremonies themselves are free. After each one, there's a reception in the Exhibition Centre for graduates and their guests to gather and celebrate together.

Between the daily sessions and the receptions that follow, the university will be in full graduation mode for the full six days.
