Tim Key: Loganberry

Tim Key brings his new show, Loganberry, to the York Theatre Royal on Sunday 20 September. It's a brand new piece of work, and the description gives you a fair idea of what's in store: poems, stamping, and howling. If that sounds like a strange mix, it's because it is, and that's exactly the kind of thing Key is known for.

For those who haven't followed him, Key has a long history of doing things his own way. He's a former member of the Cambridge Footlights and has been a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe since 2001, when he debuted with Far Too Happy. He picked up the Perrier Award in 2009, and since then he's worked across comedy, writing, and acting. You might recognise him from Alan Partridge, The Ballad of Wallis Island, or Tim Key’s Late Night Poetry Programme. He's even appeared in a Bong Joon Ho film as a pigeon, and he's the author of the book L.A. Baby!.

Reviews have called him an "art house form-buster" and "daring and innovative", which fits the bill for a show that lists stamping and howling as part of its programme. It's less a traditional stand-up set and more a performance that plays with the room, and Loganberry is the latest in that vein.
