A drop-in morning for young people aged 13-16 to experience the Saturday Club creative project at York Art Gallery.
York Art Gallery is running a taster session for Saturday Club on Saturday 14 November, from 10am to 12 noon. It's a drop-in morning for anyone aged 13 to 16 who's interested in joining the club but isn't quite sure what to expect. If you've heard the name and wondered what actually goes on inside, this is the low-pressure way to find out.
The morning is set up as a proper introduction. You'll meet the team who run the club, get a look at the space they work in, and take part in some creative activities to get a feel for the kind of things you'll be doing. There's also a chance to hear from past club members about their own experience of taking part, so you can get a sense of it from people who've actually been through it rather than just from the organisers.
Saturday Club itself is a project at York Art Gallery for young people aged 13 to 16, and this taster session is the easiest way to see if it's for you before committing to the full thing. It's a drop-in, so you don't need to spend the whole morning there if you'd rather just pop in, have a look, and move on.
