A relaxed, one-course brunch celebration to start the new year at the historic Carlton Towers estate, with table bookings available.
Carlton Towers is hosting a New Year's Day brunch on Friday 1 January 2027, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. It's set in the staterooms of the estate, a historic Yorkshire manor house that's been a family seat since 1614. The house can be dated back to the Domesday Book of 1086 and has passed down entirely by inheritance, so it's a proper old family home. The estate runs to around 250 acres of parkland and includes a Walled Garden Vineyard and the Stables Tearoom, and the house was designed by Lady Emma, whose name appears in the estate's rooms.
The brunch is pitched as a refreshing, relaxed way to start the new year and take a break after the festive season. You sit for a one-course brunch served with toast, pastries, tea or coffee and juice, with the option to order dishes directly from the menu on the day. After that, you can linger over coffee by a crackling open fire or wander the surrounding grounds. It's a slow start to the year rather than a rushed one, and the setting does a lot of the heavy lifting there.
