Koto Japanese Harp Music Performances

Michael will be playing the koto at York Art Gallery on Saturday 29 August, with performances running throughout the day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The koto is a traditional Japanese harp with a long musical heritage, and its delicate melodies will be filling the gallery foyer with calming, distinctive sounds. It's the kind of thing that turns a visit to the gallery into something a bit more atmospheric and relaxing than usual.

Because the music is in the foyer, you don't need general admission to hear it. You can just pop in, listen for a while, and head off again without spending a penny.
