An evening of adult-only haunted storytelling revealing the dark chapters of Barley Hall's past, presented by Edwyrdian Tales.
Edwyrdian Tales are taking over Barley Hall on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October for Haunted Hall: Dark Tales, an evening of adult-only storytelling that digs into the darker chapters of the building's past. It's an eldritch night of tales drawn from ghostly encounters and chilling folklore, and it's for adults aged 18 and over, with alcohol available to buy on the night.
Barley Hall has stood on the same site for more than 600 years, and the show is built around the idea that its ancient walls have absorbed whispers, secrets and restless spirits over the centuries. The storytelling pulls on that history, bringing to the surface the more unsettling side of the house. It's part of Ghost Week 2026, which runs from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November, so this is one of several events happening across the city that week.
