Cringe! comes to Friargate Theatre on Friday 2 October, a cabaret-style comedy show that takes the most mortifying moments of real life and turns them into a raucous, joyful celebration. The whole thing is built around real recorded stories of falls, toilet mishaps and excruciating intimate disasters, and it's recommended for ages 16 and over.
On stage, Jenna teams up with DJ Funky Steve to spin those tales and remix them into something entirely different. The recordings don't just stay as stories; they're reworked into musical numbers, interpretive dance and Shakespeare sonnets — sort of — all delivered in a cabaret style. It's a night that takes the things we'd usually rather forget and puts them centre stage for everyone to laugh at together.
