Chris Packham shares stories from his lifetime of curiosity and passion for nature, with specimens from his own collection.
Chris Packham brings World of Wonder: A Planet on the Edge to the York Barbican on Tuesday 3 November, starting at 19:30. It's a talk and a walk through his life in nature, and if you've followed his work, you'll recognise the voice. He's been one of the UK's most visible naturalists for nearly forty years, from the early days of The Really Wild Show to Springwatch, and more recently Inside Our Autistic Minds and Earth.
On the night, he opens up a sort of encyclopedia of stories from his own life, and he doesn't just talk about them — he brings specimens from his own collection to show. It's a look at the things he's found and the curiosity that's driven him since he was a kid, with the 'Planet on the Edge' part of the title pointing to the bigger picture he's spent his career talking about.
