A family stage show with CBeebies stars, songs, surprises and a bedtime story, directed by Justin Fletcher.
CBeebies House Party Live! comes to York Barbican on Wednesday 26 August, with two shows on the one day: one at 11:00 and another at 14:00. It's a family stage show built around the CBeebies world, and it's written and directed by Justin Fletcher, who's a CBeebies superstar in his own right.
On stage, it's a mix of songs, dancing, singing, streamers, giant jellies and bubbles. There's also a bedtime story, though they're quick to point out it's not actually bedtime. Every performance includes live British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation, so it's accessible for everyone. The Manchester Evening News summed it up as "Glastonbury for kids!", and "a glorious for toddlers", which gives you a fair idea of the energy they're going for.
The line-up is a who's who of CBeebies favourites: Mr Tumble, Mister Maker, Andy Day, Duggee, Evie Pickerill, Nigel Clarke and George Webster. Just a heads-up that the cast can vary depending on the venue, so the exact mix might shift a bit. It's aimed at families with children of all ages who love CBeebies, and it's particularly suited to those with toddlers.

On the practical side, anyone under 14 needs to be accompanied by an adult, and children under 18 months go in free if they're sitting on an adult's lap. Tickets are on sale now, and there's a booking fee on top of the ticket price. With the two timings—11:00 and 14:00—you can pick the one that fits your day best.
