A festive workshop where attendees can learn to make their own Christmas wreath with the help of local florist Take a Leaf, including materials and a mince pie.
The Balloon Tree Farm Shop is hosting a series of Christmas wreath workshops on the evenings of the 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th of November. You get to pick the date that suits you best, and each session runs from 7pm to about 9pm, with arrival from 6.45pm. It's a couple of hours to put together your own wreath and take it home ready for the door.
The workshop is run by Take a Leaf, a florist based in Stamford Bridge, with Rachel leading the session. She'll talk you through the process, so you'll leave with something you're actually proud to hang up this festive season. It's a ticketed event, and you'll need to book in advance.
It's worth knowing a bit about where you're heading. The Balloon Tree is a family-run business that's been farming soft fruit and vegetables on the site for more than 40 years. It's both a farm shop and an award-winning cafe, stocked with rare-breed meats, jams, chutneys, free-range eggs, and artisan wines, beers and liqueurs alongside in-house lunchtime classics. They run a Pick Your Own season from April through October and sell Yorkshire-grown Christmas trees throughout November and December, while the cafe garden offers alfresco dining in summer with a play area for children. The workshop is a partnership with Take a Leaf, the local florist in Stamford Bridge whose knowledge guides the session.
