A guided beer tasting experience led by WSET expert Emma Moore, featuring 10 beers paired with crisps and artisan cheese.
Emma Moore is leading a beer, crisps and cheese tasting evening at York Distillery on Wednesday 13 August, from 19:00 to 21:00. Moore is a WSET-trained beer expert, and she'll be guiding you through ten different beers, each paired with crisps and artisan cheese. The selection runs from crisp lagers to hoppy IPAs and dark stouts, with most coming from breweries across the north of England — fitting, given Yorkshire's reputation as the UK's beer capital.
It's not just about drinking, though. Along the way, Moore explains why certain flavours work together, how to elevate a night with the right pairing, and what actually makes the different beer styles distinct. There's also a beer-themed quiz with a prize to keep things lively. It's set up as a relaxed, educational evening rather than a formal tasting, so it works whether you're a regular beer drinker or just fancy trying something new.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in York and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
