A popular 10K city run through historic York landmarks, suitable for all abilities and a fundraiser for partner charities.
The Arla Protein York 10K returns to Knavesmire Road on Sunday 1 August 2027, with the start and finish both right next to York Racecourse. It's been running since 2009, and it's grown into one of Yorkshire's most popular 10Ks. The course is flat and fast, taking you through the heart of the city past some of York's best-known landmarks โ the ancient city walls, Clifford's Tower, and the minster. It's pitched at all abilities, so it works whether you're chasing a personal best or running for a cause.
The day is a fundraiser too. Partner charities have space in the Event Village, and the official medal can be engraved with your name and finish time. Arla Protein sponsors pacers who'll be out on the course, and water stations are in place along the way. Every entrant gets a finishers goody bag, and you can pre-order a finisher t-shirt as well. The race is chip-timed, so you'll have your official time regardless of where you fit into the pack.
