Stand-up comedy show by Adam Rowe, host of the Have A Word Podcast, billed as his best ever hour of stand-up.
Adam Rowe is coming to York Barbican on Thursday 19 November, with his new show Fashionism. It's part of a 16-date UK tour, and the York date falls on a Thursday night.
Rowe describes Fashionism as his best hour of stand-up yet, and the premise is one you've probably wrestled with yourself: trying to see everyone's point of view, especially the people you can't stand. It's a show built around that particular tension, and The Herald called it 'a masterclass in stand-up'.
If you're not familiar with him, he's a Liverpool-based comedian who's been working since 2010. He's a regular on Live At The Apollo and hosts the Have A Word podcast, so he's well-known beyond the club circuit. He's spent years on the road with a steady run of shows — Pinnacle in 2019, Imperious in 2021, and What's Wrong with Me? in 2022, alongside Bittersweet Little Lies, Unbearable and Undeniable. He also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe every single year from 2016 to 2023, so he's more than used to a touring schedule.

The York show is at York Barbican, in the Paragon Centre (YO10 4NT), starting at 7:30pm, with doors opening about half an hour before. One thing to keep in mind: the show is strictly for audiences aged 16 and over.
