UTampa Trunk-or-Treat

Trunk-or-Treat returns to the Bob Martinez Athletics Center on Friday, October 30, from 6 PM to 7 PM. It's an annual tradition hosted by the Tampa Downtown Partnership, and the setup is exactly what it sounds like: the parking lot fills up with cars, and you walk from trunk to trunk collecting treats. The twist here is who's handing them out—the UTampa Athletics sports teams are the ones staffing the cars, so you'll be getting your candy from the athletes themselves.

Costumes are a big part of the evening, and the organizers encourage everyone to show up in their spookiest or cutest gear. It's one of those events that works as well for a family with little kids as it does for a group of friends who just want an excuse to dress up. Since it's in the parking lot, it's a walk-through affair—you move from one car to the next, fill your bag, and keep going.

The evening doubles as a game night: the UTampa volleyball team takes on Palm Beach Atlantic at 7 PM, right after the trunk-or-treating wraps up.
