The St. Pete Collective pays homage to James Taylor's music, bringing the groovy 1970s sound to New Tampa.
The St. Pete Collective are playing The Music of James Taylor at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center on Friday, October 30, from 8 PM to 10 PM. It's a tribute show, and the set is built around James Taylor's best-known songs, bringing that smooth, groovy sound of the 1970s to New Tampa.
The Collective is a band whose members build careers across widely varying musical styles and come together to pay homage to the artists they admire. For this one, they're focusing on Taylor, so you'll hear the songs he's most known for. The lineup consists of Patrick Bettison, LaRue Nickleson, Vinnie Seplesky, Gale Trippsmith, Joey Interrante, Chad Stivers, and Jim Glimour.
Inside the room, the layout is a bit different than your standard theater. There are tables and chairs on the floor level, with elevated rows of theater seats behind them. The table seating is on the floor, and row AA is ADA accessible. The concert is part of the center's 2026-2027 season.
