TBCN's Actors FREE Workshop by Michael Dean

Michael Dean is leading a free acting workshop at the Tampa Bay Community Network (TBCN) on Saturday, October 31, from 1 PM to 3 PM. It's open to actors of all skill levels aged 18 and over, and youth can attend with a legal guardian. Places are reserved by RSVP, so you'll want to get your name on the list before you head over.

Dean brings a career that's spanned both sides of the camera. He started on stage, where he played the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, and his screen credits include NBC's Las Vegas, See Arnold Run, and First Daughter, which Forest Whitaker directed. He also spent some time on the dance floor, partnering with Cheryl Burke during Season 14 of Dancing With the Stars. His short films have picked up awards at the Vanguard Film Festival, and his producing work has been recognized at the 168 Film Festival and screened at the Cannes Short Film Festival.

During the session, he draws on that mix of stage, screen, and production experience to give participants a chance to practice, perform, and get feedback in a supportive creative environment. It's a working session rather than a lecture, so come ready to actually do the work.

The workshop is free and runs from 1 PM to 3 PM on Saturday, October 31, at Tampa Bay Community Network, 2264 University Square Mall, Tampa, FL 33612—the entrance is near Famous Footwear.
