Free afternoon of family fun with live entertainment, bounce houses, face painting, a game truck, food trucks and community organisations at Palm River Park.
Tampa Family Fun Fest takes over Palm River Park on Saturday, October 24, from 12 PM to 4 PM. It's a free, all-ages afternoon put on by Gary Onzy of Bounce Boy and Vessel Occasions, and the whole thing is built around getting families together for a few hours of easy, low-stakes fun.
The main draw is the kids' side of things: bounce houses for the little ones to run off energy, face painting, and a game truck. There's live entertainment on the program, too, so you'll have something to listen to while the kids are occupied. Beyond that, you'll find a variety of food trucks and vendors scattered across the park, so you can grab lunch and a snack without having to leave the grounds.
It's not just about the entertainment, though. The organizers have brought in several community organizations, and there are free haircuts and giveaways throughout the afternoon. It's the kind of day where you can let the kids do their thing and still find something for yourself, whether that's chatting with neighbors or just hanging out under the trees. The whole afternoon is billed as a way to make some community connections while the kids play.

Since it's an outdoor event at Palm River Park, the best move is to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to claim your spot and stay a while. The fest runs from 12 PM to 4 PM on Saturday, October 24, and general admission is free.
