Beginner-friendly needlepoint class with supplies and instruction from Golden Thread, held at Willa's.
Willa's is hosting a Stitch and Sip on Sunday, November 1, from 5 PM to 8 PM. It's a beginner-friendly needlepoint class, so if you've never held a needle in your life, you're exactly who this is for.
The class is a collaboration with Golden Thread, a needlepoint studio that handles all the heavy lifting. They provide the kit, the canvas, and the hands-on instruction, so you don't have to worry about buying your own supplies or figuring out where to start. You'll spend the three hours learning the basics and working on a project you can actually finish, and since it's a beginner class, the pace is meant for people who are new to the craft.
It's a social setup, too. You'll get a drink when you arrive, and the whole thing runs from 5 PM to 8 PM, which is long enough to get a good handle on the stitches without feeling rushed. You'll be working alongside other people in the room, so it's as much about the company as it is about the needlework.
