Five-day spring break camp for 2nd to 4th graders where campers become paleontologists investigating prehistoric creatures.
MOSI is running its Dinosaur Investigation spring break camp from March 22 to 26, 2027, at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa. It's a five-day program for second through fourth graders, and the whole week is built around the kids stepping into the role of paleontologists to investigate prehistoric creatures. It's part of MOSI's broader school break camp series, which they run during fall, winter, and spring breaks for kids in grades K-8, with summer camps extending from Pre-K through 11th grade. The dinosaur track is one of three separate tracks they offer that week, so campers spend their time with peers of a similar age and interest.
It's a full-day thing, 9 AM to 4 PM, and the focus is on STEAM activities—science, technology, engineering, arts, and math—that are hands-on and minds-on, meaning the kids are actually doing the work rather than just watching a presentation. Since the dinosaur track is specifically for second to fourth graders, the activities are geared toward that age group. You'll want to pack a lunch and two snacks for them, and send them in clothes that can get messy, because they'll be getting their hands dirty.
