Competitive cheerleading competition held at the Florida State Fairgrounds, with $25 admission for spectators.
The Spirit Clash Cheerleading Competition takes over the Florida State Fairgrounds on Sunday, November 8, with teams competing throughout the day. It's a full-day event, running from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, so you can drop in for a few hours or stay for the whole thing.
If you've never seen a cheer competition in person, it's a different beast than what you see on TV. The whole point is to showcase the energy and athleticism of the sport, and that's exactly what you'll see on the floor. It's not just about the cheersβit's the stunts, the tumbling, and the synchronization that really carry a routine. The competition brings together teams from across the region, each bringing their own style to the mat, so you get a good look at how different squads approach the same sport.
The action is held in the Entertainment Hall at the Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. Hwy 301 N in Tampa. Because it's a full-day affair, it's easy to time your visit around the teams you're coming to support, or just hang out and watch the different divisions go through their routines one after another.
