South Florida women's basketball opens its 2026-27 non-conference slate with a game against Furman at the Yuengling Center.
South Florida women's basketball opens its 2026-27 season at the Yuengling Center on Monday, November 2, taking on the Furman Paladins. It's the first game of a 14-game non-conference stretch that includes four multi-team events, and it sets the stage for an 18-game American Conference schedule split evenly between home and away.
There's a bit more to this opener than just the first tip of the year. It marks the debut of Kristy Curry, the seventh head coach in program history. She's taking over a team built on a 25-season tradition: 19 postseason tournament appearances, 10 NCAA Tournament berths, 13 20-win seasons, two WNIT Final Four appearances, and the 2008-09 WNIT championship. Furman comes in from the Southern Conference.
If you've followed the Bulls for a while, you know the program has a long history of staying competitive, and this game is the first look at how things will run under Curry. Between the non-conference slate and the conference schedule that follows, there's a full season's worth of basketball ahead, and this is where it all kicks off.
