South Florida Bulls women's basketball team plays the Morgan State Bears at the on-campus Yuengling Center.
South Florida Bulls Women's Basketball take on the Morgan State Bears at The Yuengling Center on Friday, December 4, at 7 PM. It's a home game for the Bulls, who represent the University of South Florida right here in Tampa.
If you're not familiar with the program, it's got a long history. The team launched in the 1972-73 season and moved up to Division I in 1982. Since then, they've earned 10 NCAA Women's Tournament bidsโthe first one back in 2013 and the most recent in 2025โalong with nine WNIT berths and the 2009 WNIT championship. They've also taken home two regular-season American Conference titles in 2021 and 2023, and two conference tournament crowns in 2021 and 2025. Jose Fernandez has been at the helm since the 2000-01 season, and the program has sent WNBA stars like Wanda Guyton and Courtney Williams into the pros.
The game is at The Yuengling Center, the on-campus arena at 4202 East Fowler Ave. It opened in 1980 as the USF Sun Dome and holds around 10,500 spectators. Over the years it's gone by a few names: it was nicknamed the 'Rose Garden' after late men's coach Lee Rose, and later 'The Keg' after a 2018 sponsor. The student section there goes by the name So Flo Rodeo.
