Full day of competitive cheerleading performances at the Florida State Fairgrounds' Entertainment Hall.
The Showcase of Champions Cheer Competition takes over the Florida State Fairgrounds on Sunday, December 6, 2026. It's a full day of cheerleading, running from 8 AM to 5 PM inside the Entertainment Hall, so you'll want to settle in early if you're planning to catch the whole thing.
If you've never seen a cheer competition in person, it's a different animal than what you see on a halftime show. The Showcase of Champions is built around the sport's more athletic sideβthe tumbling, the stunts, and the synchronized routines that take months of practice to get right. It's a full day of performances, with different teams taking the floor one after another, so the energy stays high from the first routine of the morning through the final one in the afternoon. The Entertainment Hall gives you a good view of the action, and since it's a competition, you're seeing teams go head-to-head for the top spot.

It's a family-friendly day, and the pricing reflects that. Spectator tickets are $25, and kids three and under get in free, so it's an easy one to bring the whole crew to. Parking is $10 if you pay online in advance and $12 if you pay onsite, so grabbing your spot ahead of time saves you a couple of dollars and a bit of hassle when you pull in. The competition runs from 8 AM to 5 PM at the Entertainment Hall, 4800 U.S. Hwy 301 N in Tampa, so you can drop in for a few hours or stay for the whole day.
