A premier reining horse competition hosted by the South Florida Reining Horse Association, combining athletic equestrian display with a membership meeting.
The South Florida Reining Horse Association is bringing the SFRHA Green Spectacular & Membership Meeting to the Florida State Fairgrounds from November 5 to 8, 2026. It's a four-day reining competition that doubles as the association's membership meeting, so the event mixes the action in the arena with the business side of the sport.
If you're not familiar, reining is one of the fastest-growing western performance sports. It's all about the partnership between rider and horse, with the horse performing a precise pattern of circles, stops, and spins. The association describes the event as a premier equestrian gathering that brings together talented riders and exceptional horses to showcase the precision, athleticism, and skill of the discipline. Because it's a multi-day show, you can catch the competition over several days rather than just one.
The whole thing takes place at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center, inside the Florida State Fairgrounds at 4800 U.S. Hwy 301 N in Tampa. The competition runs from 8 AM to 5 PM each day, and since it's free for spectators, you can drop in for a few hours or spend a whole day watching the patterns unfold.

Between the reining runs, the membership meeting side of the event brings the association together to handle the business of the sport. It's a good chance to see the competitive side and the community side of the SFRHA in one place. The show runs November 5 through 8, 8 AM to 5 PM daily, and admission is free for spectators.
