Hands-on STEAM workshop for homeschool students aged 11 to 13 to create stop-motion videos inspired by Minecraft.
Mine-imation is coming to MOSI on Thursday, December 3, from 10 AM to 12 PM. It's an animation workshop for students aged 11 to 13, and the whole session is built around creating animated videos inspired by Minecraft. If your kid spends half their day in that blocky world, this is a way to turn that screen time into something they actually make themselves.
The workshop is part of SEED (Homeschool Science Experience Enrichment Days), which is MOSI's monthly series of hands-on STEAM classes. The sessions are designed to complement a homeschool curriculum through practical exploration of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, and they're open to students only. Mine-imation fits right into that: it takes the animation side of things and lets students work through it by hand, using a game they already know and love as the starting point.

Because it's a SEED class, you'll need to register and pay at least a week in advance. The deadline for this one is Thursday, November 26, so you can't just show up on the day. It runs from 10 AM to 12 PM at MOSI in Tampa, and it costs $25 for non-members or $20 if you're a MOSI member.
