Hands-on weather class for homeschoolers where students explore how storms form and investigate meteorology.
Storm Chasers is coming to the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa as part of the SEED Days program, with two sessions to choose from: Tuesday, March 2, and Thursday, March 4, both from 1 PM to 3 PM. It's a hands-on weather class for homeschoolers, and the focus is right in the title—students spend the afternoon exploring how storms form and digging into the basics of meteorology.
If you're not familiar, SEED Days are monthly enrichment classes designed for homeschoolers. They're meant to complement what you're already teaching at home with hands-on STEAM explorations—Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics—so instead of just reading about the weather, the kids actually get to work with it. This particular session is for students only, with a minimum age of 8, so it's a chance for them to dive in on their own while you take a couple of hours for yourself.

Because it's a class and not a drop-in exhibit, you'll need to register and pay at least one week in advance to hold a spot. It's $25 for non-members and $20 for members. Both sessions run from 1 PM to 3 PM, so you can pick whichever day fits your schedule best.
