Free evening car show with exotics, vintage muscle cars, hot rods and custom lowriders along the Hillsborough River waterfront at Armature Works.
Rides by the River returns to Armature Works on Saturday, October 17, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's the evening edition of the monthly car show, which usually runs every third Saturday along the Hillsborough River waterfront in Tampa Heights. This one is a Night Rides show, one of the few times a year it runs after dark, with string lights and the downtown skyline as the backdrop.
If you've been before, you know the drill: exotics, vintage muscle cars, hot rods, rare imports and custom lowriders line the riverside, with local dealers and automotive vendors mixed in. It's an outdoor show that draws hundreds of enthusiasts each month, and it's open to the public and suitable for all ages. The event benefits Metropolitan Ministries, supporting their mission to provide assistance and resources to individuals and families in need throughout the Tampa Bay community.
Because it's a Night Rides night, the Armature Works market, Stones Throw and M.Bird stay open late, so you can grab a drink or a bite and hang out long after the cars have parked. If you're looking for something a bit smaller, there's also Rides on the Rooftop, a sister event that runs every other month on the first Tuesday at the Heights Parking Garage above Sprouts—a more intimate rooftop show over Tampa Heights.
