A weekend of equestrian competition and sportsmanship presented by the Pinellas County Hunter Association.
The Pinellas County Hunter Association is bringing its horse show to the Florida State Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25. It's a two-day event, so you can drop in for one afternoon or spend the whole weekend there.
The show is presented by the PCHA, and they describe it as a weekend of competition, sportsmanship and equestrian excellence. If you're not familiar with the format, that's hunter riding—where horse and rider are judged on style, form and how well they work together over a course of jumps, rather than just who crosses the finish line first. It's a discipline that puts a lot of weight on the partnership between the rider and the horse, and you'll see that play out across the rings over both days.
It's held at the equestrian rings within the fairgrounds, which are separate from the main fair area. If you've never been to that part of the grounds, it's a different world from the midway—open air, plenty of room to walk around, and a steady stream of riders coming through. You can watch the competition from the sidelines and get a good look at the horses and the riders in action.

Both days run from 8 AM to 5 PM, so you've got a wide window to work with. If you're just coming to watch, admission is free for spectators, which makes it an easy one to swing by without much planning. The rings are at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. Hwy 301 N, Tampa, FL 33610.
