Two-hour evening to paint a canvas while listening to Konpa music, with artist Jean-René Rinvil and canvas and brushes included.
Jean-René Rinvil is leading a painting and dance night at Tropicana Craft Distilling Group (82°West Distilling) on Thursday, October 22, from 8 PM to 10 PM. The whole evening is put together by Dance Konpa, and the idea is to combine painting a canvas with the rhythms of Konpa music, so you can get creative while connecting with Tampa's local arts and dance community.
Rinvil is the artist guiding the session, and the Konpa music provides the backdrop for the painting. It's a two-hour window, and you don't need to bring your own supplies — the canvas and paintbrushes are included in the price. If you've never painted before, that's fine; the setup is designed for you to just show up and start.
Dance Konpa is the group organizing the night, and they've built it around the two things that give the evening its name: painting and Konpa. The session runs for two hours, so there's plenty of time to work on your canvas without feeling rushed, and the music keeps the room moving while you paint.
