A laser light show inspired by Metallica's music, featuring vivid visuals and dynamic music in the Holloway Digital Dome Theatre, preceded by a live star show.
MOSI is bringing a Metallica laser light show to the Holloway Digital Dome Theatre on Friday, October 30, 2026. It's part of the museum's laser light show series, and this one is built around a Metallica playlist. The set includes 'For Whom the Bell Tolls', 'Ain't My B***', 'Fuel', 'One', 'Nothing Else Matters', 'Master of Puppets', 'Unforgiven II', 'Sad But True', and 'Enter Sandman'.
The show takes over the Holloway Digital Dome Theatre, which is home to the Saunders Planetarium, billed as America's second-largest planetarium. Each performance pairs vivid laser visuals and dynamic music with special effects, and before the lasers hit the dome, a MOSI astronomer guides the audience through a live star show. The shows are designed for all ages, so it's a fine choice if you're bringing kids along. If you want a drink beforehand, Beakers Bar is on-site. One thing to keep in mind: all laser shows contain flashing lights that may affect people susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
