Children ages 5 to 17 run their own booths and sell products at the Seminole Heights Kids Market, held at the Great Pumpkin Patch.
The Kids Market is coming to The Seminole Heights Great Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, October 18, from 12 PM to 4 PM. It's a day where kids ages 5 to 17 step into the role of business owner: they create or choose something to sell, set up their own booth, handle the customers, and keep every cent they earn. It works whether they're already running a small business or just trying it out for the first time.
The organizers frame it as more than just a market. It's a chance for kids to practice communication, responsibility, problem-solving, creativity, and independence, all while meeting other young entrepreneurs. The program, formerly known as the Children's Entrepreneur Market, is an award-winning initiative that teaches young people about the power of entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership through experiential learning. It started in Utah, where it sold out for five years straight and reached nearly 10,000 children before expanding to 24 additional states.
On the day, the kids are the ones in charge. They're the ones pitching their products and making the sales, so when you walk through, you're buying directly from them. It's a good way to see what the younger crowd in the neighborhood is making and to support them while they're at it.
