Annual pumpkin patch at Hyde Park Village, an urban autumn outing for families with proceeds going to The Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Hyde Park Village is hosting its annual pumpkin patch from October 16 to 25, with the patch open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. It's presented by Hyde Park Village and open to the public, so you can drop in whenever you've got a free hour during the day.
If you're used to the traditional farm trip—the drive out of town, the dirt paths, the whole haul—this is the urban alternative. It brings the patch right into the village, so you get the seasonal outing without having to leave the city. It's a good spot for families who want the tradition without the trek.
There's a charitable side to it, too: the proceeds from pumpkin purchases go to The Humane Society of Tampa Bay, which supports their work helping animals in need. So, when you're picking out a pumpkin, some of that money goes toward their animal rescue and care efforts.
