STEM-focused field trip for homeschool students that combines a hands-on science lesson with skating at United Skates of America.
Homeschool STEM is happening at United Skates of America - Tampa on Monday, November 2, starting at 10 AM. It's a STEM-focused field trip that pairs a hands-on lesson in science, technology, engineering and math with skating, and it's aimed at homeschool students and their families.
The morning is built around that combination: a guided STEM lesson and time on the rink. The lesson covers the four pillars—science, technology, engineering and math—and the skating comes as part of the same package, so the kids get to move around after they've spent some time working through the material. It's designed as a group activity, with families welcome to join in.
There are two ways to book it. The STEM and skating package is $13 per student, which covers the lesson, admission to the rink, and a standard skate rental. If you want to add lunch, the STEM, skating and lunch option is $15 per student, adding a slice of cheese pizza and a small soda. Both options are per student, so you can mix and match depending on how many kids you're bringing and whether you want to handle lunch separately.

One thing to keep in mind: tickets are sold in advance only, and capacity is limited, so you'll want to get yours sorted before the day. The session kicks off at 10 AM at 5121 N Armenia Ave in Tampa.
