Free community health fair with health screenings, vaccinations, food from the Feeding Tampa Bay Mobile Pantry, giveaways and kids' activities.
The Healthy Living Program Community Health Fair is coming to the Emanuel P. Johnson Recreation Center on Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM to 12 PM. It's put on by the Hillsborough County government, and it's free to attend.
If you've been putting off a check-up, this is a good place to start. They'll have free health screenings on site, and vaccinations when they're available, so you can get a few things knocked out in one morning without having to book separate appointments. It's the kind of thing that's easy to let slide until you actually have it right in front of you.
There's more than just the medical side, too. The Feeding Tampa Bay Mobile Pantry will be there with food, and they'll have giveaways and activities for kids, so it works if you're bringing the whole family along. You can get your screenings done and let the kids do their own thing at the same time.
