Beginner-friendly two-hour stained glass class to make a half-moon sun catcher with dangling gems, while sipping boba.
Art by Pena is hosting a half-moon stained glass class at Kaleisia Tea Lounge on Saturday, November 7, from 12 PM to 2 PM. It's a beginner-friendly session, so you don't need any prior experience to join in. Over the course of two hours, you'll make your own colorful half-moon sun catcher, complete with dangling gems to catch the light. You'll learn the three main steps of the process: cutting the glass, foiling the edges, and soldering the pieces together. And since it's at a tea lounge, you can sip boba while you work.
Your instructor is Christina, who's been making stained glass since 2023. Before that, she taught painting at 'sip and paint' shops across the Bay Area, worked as an art instructor for the City of Tampa Parks and Rec, and served as the education director for the local non-profit Community Stepping Stones. She's also a repeat instructor at the Imagine Museum, so she's well-versed in teaching art to people at all different levels.
