Adult painting-and-wine party where guests paint a Florida-themed scene on an 11x14 canvas, part of Painting with a Twist's 'Manic Monday' series.
Painting with a Twist is hosting Florida Ghost on Monday, October 19, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at their studio at 2821 S MacDill Ave in Tampa. It's part of their 'Manic Monday' series, which they describe as painting-and-wine parties aimed at adult painters. The session is led by instructor Shay, and you don't need any prior experience to join in.
The painting itself is titled Florida Ghost, and you'll be working on an 11x14 canvas. If you want to take the evening a step further, there are a couple of upgrades you can add: a DIY all-natural soy candle with about a 40-hour burn life, and a custom linen-scent spray. You're welcome to bring along your own food and non-alcoholic drinks, and you can arrive up to 30 minutes early for what they call a 'Happy Half Hour.'

On the logistics side, the session is open to ages 15 and over, so anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult. You have to be at least 21 to drink alcohol, and BYOB isn't allowed, though beer and wine are available for purchase on the premises. The cost is $32 per person.
