Flores After Dark Paint and Sip

Flores After Dark is coming to Catrinas Tacos and Tequila Bar on Friday, October 23, from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. It's part of the Blacklight Paint Experience, a guided blacklight painting session where you step into the world of La Catrina—the iconic skeletal figure of Mexican tradition—and paint under blacklights. The session is open to all skill levels, so you don't need to be an artist to join in.

The night goes beyond the painting. There's music playing under the stars and a costume contest with prizes, and the venue has a professional photographer on hand to take photos in its historic vault. The setting itself is worth mentioning: Catrinas is located inside an original 1905 bank building in Old West Tampa, so you're painting in a space with a bit of history behind it. Since it's an outdoor setup, the session will move inside if the weather turns.

Your ticket covers admission, all the painting supplies, the guided blacklight session, and entry into the costume contest. Mexican food and drinks are available to buy separately at the bar, so you can grab a taco or a margarita while you work. The whole night is for over-21s only, and you'll need a valid ID to get in. It runs from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM on Friday, October 23, at Catrinas Tacos and Tequila Bar, 1611 N Howard Ave, Tampa, FL 33607.
