A heartwarming Theatre for Young Audiences production following a dragon named Oro who learns that true courage is about teamwork and expressing feelings.
Creative Arts Theatre Company brings Dragon Up to the New Tampa Performing Arts Center on Thursday, February 11, 2027. It's part of the center's Theatre for Young Audiences program, and they've recommended it for kids in grades K-3.
The story follows Oro, a twelve-year-old dragon who dreams of breathing fire like a "real" dragon. To get there, he first has to prove himself by guarding the legendary Great Dragon Treasure. Things go sideways when the mischievous Scary Teacher Monster steals the treasure, and Oro has to team up with a brave muskrat knight named Meetra to get it back. Along the way, they find that true courage isn't about breathing fire—it's about teamwork, expressing your feelings, and learning how to resolve conflicts. It's a heartwarming, laugh-filled show for young audiences.
