Family-friendly Halloween tradition at ZooTampa with outdoor experiences, spooky characters, culinary treats and a scavenger hunt on select nights.
Creatures of the Night is back at ZooTampa at Lowry Park this fall, the zoo's family-friendly Halloween tradition that runs on select nights in September and October. It's an outdoor experience with spooky characters, creepy culinary treats, and a scavenger hunt to work your way through. This year, the zoo is adding two new immersive realms: Scared of the Dark, aimed at the bravest ghouls, and Ghostly Groves, a family-friendly walk through a haunted neighborhood.
Returning favorites get a refresh too. There's the disco-boogie Dancing Dead and the living-fountain show at the Enchanted Circle. The event also pays tribute to Día de los Muertos with Carousel de los Muertos, brings in the characters from L. Frank Baum's The Wizard of Oz in Land of Oz, and features the neon-colored Troll Cave. Between the new additions and the returning ones, there's plenty to see across the grounds.
